Falling Website Post

In Sculpture class, we decided to create tape bodies that look like they are falling. The different tools I used for this project include packing tape, saran wrap, box cutter, and our bodies. We made them by wrapping saran wrap around a part of our body and putting tape over it. Then we would cut it off and have to tape it back together. If I could name this sculpture, I would call it stealthy. The reason for calling my project this is because I tried to create it based on a ninja pose. I believe that while creating this artwork it’s not just about putting some tape together, this has a deeper meaning. This project is representing our fallen nature as sinners. We were born into our sinful nature and have no control over it. Some of my goals for this project were to be able to make a stable structure of tape. Another main one was to be able to focus and have fun while creating such a fun project like this one. I enjoyed making this project, being able to work with other students on a collaborative project was enjoyable.
